The compact and, importantly, versatile valve from KÜSTER can be used almost anywhere in the vehicle. The biggest advantage: whereas in the past each valve had to be controlled by its own actuator, the modular design of our system means that almost any number of valves can be connected to form a block. These are controlled via a single actuator. Intelligent, individual and, above all, space-saving.
Semi-trailer trucks or industrial trucks, tractors or buses: the design of vehicles and their drives could not be more different, especially in the commercial vehicle sector. It is therefore important to offer modular and, most importantly, flexible solutions in the field of valve control that can be installed in any vehicle to save space.
This means that our individual valves can be linked in a modular fashion and precisely controlled independently of each other via a single actuator. Individual valve positions are just as possible as adding and decoupling individual valves. Even locally separated valves can be controlled via one actuator.
To ensure that the system functions smoothly, the actuator has an internal zero calibration and can therefore precisely approach different valve positions. The actuator can also be rotated through 360°.
The valves can represent different valve states. If several valves are connected to one another, they can be activated or deactivated using a coupling.
In battery electric vehicles (BEV), which use a rechargeable traction battery as their sole energy source, intelligent valve control offers a further advantage: as less stored energy is lost and the energy flows within the engine can be used more efficiently, consumption is reduced and the range of the electric car is noticeably increased.
You can rely on KÜSTER's expertise and experience not only for valve block thermal management: we also supply reliable and, above all, future-proof solutions in other areas of automotive technology. Individually tailored to your requirements.
