The electrified charging lid not only impresses with the design possibilities it opens up. For example, an optional shaking function at sub-zero temperatures ensures that the flap is easily released in the event of slight icing and the charging process can start quickly despite sub-zero temperatures. At the push of a button, the electrified charging lid is moved inwards in a translatory motion, about 15 mm. Once it has reached its inner position, it is swung out to the side or extended.
Integrated obstacle detection guarantees that the flap does not move if foreign objects interfere with the process. The drive is operated either via a central kinematic system or via a riser cable.
